Labels

• When deciding whether a field will have a label (on top of the field) or help (inside the field, aka gray ghost copy), or both, consider issues of redundancy and clarification. 
• Title case.
• Avoid sentences and phrases. If a phrase must be used, do not punctuate.

Gray Help

• Sentence case. No punctuation, including ellipses.
• Should explain the format needed or other details. 
• Avoid using e.g. in help, instead use generic text (DD MM YYYY vs. e.g. 14 April 1979).
